Success stories

Featured Athlete: Brittney Henderson

My CrossFit Journey started almost a year ago. I had just moved here from the Coastal Bend a year before that & I hated the way I had let myself go. Having been an athlete my entire life & I started noticing the easiest task were getting hard for me and I knew I had to make a change. Just going to the gym wasn’t working, I wasn’t seeing much progress at all, so I had to be honest with myself. I remember being interested in CrossFit for the longest time but also nervous to step out there and try it. I can honestly say that I am so glad that I did! It has hands down been one of the best decisions I have made. I look back at the person who did her on-ramp with Coach Jason and went home and napped for 4 hours and realize that I am not where I want to be YET, but I’ve come a long way from that person. CrossFit has helped me come out of my shell & face a lot of my own fears. There are things I was afraid to do and now I have a “why not, let’s see what happens” type of mindset. I have so many goals I want to achieve with CrossFit and the coaches and everyone I have met so far have been so nice & helpful. CFMC has been more than just a place to workout to me, it has become a part of my life, I look forward to the workouts (even the burpees). Its where I go after a long work day to relieve stress, to laugh with the coaches and CrossFitters & I always leave feeling better then when I arrived. I want to thank all the coaches for always pushing me and I am honored to be this months Outstanding Athlete. CFMC Staff
