What is Barbells for Boobs?– Barbells for Boobs  is a non-profit breast cancer organization whose mission is to provide funding through the MAMMOGRAMS IN ACTION ® GRANT PROGRAM for qualified low-income and uninsured women and men who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast caner. What workout will we be doing?– “Helen meets Grace”; here’s how it works-
This is a partner WOD.
Between you and your partner you will split up the reps however you want but only one partner can work at a time. (Both partners will run the 400m in Helen)
Both partners will use the same weight for the KB swings and C&J’s
Helen will be done first then immediately into Grace. For those of you who don’t know-
Helen is 3 rounds of 400m run 21 KBS (55/35) 12 pull ups
Grace is 30 Clean and Jerks for time (135/95)
I have a friend that wants to donate and workout, can they come? Yes, but tell them to come to our 11am free class that day so they can fill out a waiver and learn how to do all the movements safely.
Do I need to make a donation in order to workout? Yes. We are not setting a minimal  donation, any amount you donate will be helpful. There will be a donation box that day at the gym or you can donate beforehand via the web address provided above.

  1. Not sure if we will get to make it or not but will donate!! What if we don’t have a partner to do the same weight???

    1. There will be plenty of people there so to find somebody in your skill set will not be a challenge. If need be a partner might have to go a little lighter than what they want to do, but for the sake of keeping things moving and to save workout area each team will have only one kettlebell and one barbell.

  2. Oh hey midcounty!!! Guess who is coming in town tomorrow! Ill definitely have to come visit.. Maybe do a WOD or two.. 🙂 Christine and I may partner up for this fundraiser. I’m excited! 🙂
