Kara Rees – [email protected]

CoachKaraI got started with CrossFit in April 2010. I thought I would only go to one workout because it would be way too challenging, but after that first workout I was hooked. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and I knew it didn’t matter how fit or unfit I was. I’ve never been a fit person and I struggled with my weight from a very early age. When I started I couldn’t complete a full air squat or push up and had to scale every single workout I did. But the more I went the better I got. Now I can honestly say I’m more fit than I’ve ever been in my life. I am weighing in at my lightest, fitting into sizes I could never wear before; but the best part is I feel better. I have more energy when I play with my kids and I’m able to do things I’ve never done before like play all kinds of sports. Now I just want to spend my time inspiring and pushing other people to do better and be better than they ever thought possible.

Neal Riley

CoachNealI have always had a passion for sports and fitness and love to compete no matter what. I thought myself in pretty good shape until trying my first CrossFit workout, Fight Gone Bad. Afterwards I was left on the floor unable to move wondering what the hell had just happened to me. I was hooked. Since starting I’ve gotten stronger, faster, and gained more endurance than I thought possible. CrossFit Beaumont, CrossFit Mid-County, and CrossFit Lumberton are my dreams come true of bringing a new level of training to everyone willing to put in the blood, sweat, and pain to attain elite fitness.

CoachAllie

Growing up, I was an avid runner and involved in any type of school athletics. Once that avenue closed, I opted to start teaching fitness classes at your standard globo gym. For over eight years, I had the same fitness routine: cycling, kickboxing, strength training, Zumba, etc. To say I was stuck in a workout rut was an understatement. I wasn’t seeing any progress strength wise, or any visible changes to my body. I remember seeing the Crossfit Games on ESPN and thinking “I have to see what that is all about.” So in September 2011, I went to my first free class and instantly wanted more. I love the diversity of every workout, the sense of accomplishment I feel when hitting a new personal best, but mostly, I love the community. I can honestly say, you won’t find an exercise program like this anywhere. Crossfit has opened my eyes and shown me what true fitness really is. I have been blessed with an awesome opportunity, and I hope that I can share my love and passion for this sport with every person I get to coach.

Devon Brack

CoachDevonI started my Crossfit career in February 2013. My first workout was the “Filthy 50,” and I had barely made the 30 minute cutoff. I had always competed in sports in high school and the Navy, but afterwards I became your typical gym rat working on strong, bulky, beach muscles. I have also personal trained a wide variety of people, ranging from young kids to men and women in their 60’s. I have been inside the weight room for around 13 years and have always considered myself “fit,” but I was wrong. I couldn’t remember a workout that had ever left me lying on the floor feeling like I was going to die. This has happened to me over and over again, and still does on occasion, but I love it. I was instantly hooked on Crossfit – all the components and relentless combinations of gymnastics, weight lifting, and cardio endurance was mind blowing!! I can’t imagine my life without Crossfit; now my only regret was not trying it sooner. I love being able to share my passion for fitness with others and I do so every time I coach.
